Beautiful Monterosso

Almost as if to compensate for the devastation caused on October 25th, Mother Nature has rewarded Monterosso and the rest of the Cinque Terre with the most beautiful fall and winter recorded in years.

Sunrise over Monterosso

November and December were warm and sunny, aiding the residents and volunteers in their recovery efforts. Not only did the sunshine and dry weather make the work move more quickly and easier, spirits were kept high. It’s amazing what a little sun can do to keep you motivated.

The most spectacular sights are at the beginning and the end of the day. The sunrises, promising a new, bright day and the sunsets which reward everyone for a long day’s work, have been nothing less than magical.

Monterosso is already one of the most beautiful villages in the world. With nature contributing to its beauty in this way, it becomes even more enchanting.

We’re working hard so that we can soon share with the world again the village we are lucky to call home.
